For all of you not from the South, you may ask "What in the world is a Crinoline?" Well, a crinoline is defined as: several layers of stiff netting, meant to extend the volume of a skirt. Here in the Corbin house these are VERY popular.
You see, I have a five year old little girl that thinks everyday should be a formal occasion. The first few weeks of Kindergarten it was a fight to put pants on the child. Tears would be flying all because pants are more suitable for school than dresses. EVERYDAY!!!
So, any excuse to dress up becomes a reason to wear a frilly dress with as much fluff as possible. Sweet, I have to admit.
One afternoon after church we head to our favorite local restaurant. And as we are finishing up our dessert my 3 year old (at the time) looks down and says "Mommy, I have cookies in my crinoline!" I couldn't help but to smile and think that really sums up my life.
I am a SAHM (Stay at Home Mommy), with 2 beautiful little girls, girls that love to be frilly and silly, but are adventurous to not care when they are dirty.
And at that moment 2 years ago I thought if I ever write a book or start a blog that is what I will name it. So, welcome to "Cookies in my Crinoline".
